Texas car accident kills family of 3

Two adults and one child died as a result of a fatal car accident that occurred in Arlington, Texas on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. A 41-year-old man was driving his pick-up truck east on Interstate 30 between Eastchase Parkway and N. Fielder Road at 2:20 a.m. when he suddenly rear-ended the passenger car ahead of him. After the impact, the car carrying the two adults and one infant was disabled, but was then struck again by a truck pulling a flatbed trailer. The passenger car was left in the middle lane of the highway. With debris in the road, Interstate 30 was partially closed so that the scene could be cleared.

Three injured in three-vehicle accident in Texas

A late afternoon accident in Texas, near the Texoma Medical Center, shut down all of the northbound lanes of Highway 75 in Sherman around 5 p.m. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash that occurred near Fallon Drive. The highway remained closed for about an hour while first responders worked at the scene. Shortly after 6 p.m., a single northbound lane was reopened to traffic. According to Sherman police, all lanes were once again operational by 7 p.m.; however, investigators have still not determined what factors caused the car accident.

Fatal accident results in Texas man charged

A Texas man was charged with intoxication manslaughter after an accident. According to authorities, the man crashed into another driver around 7:39 p.m. on July 6th. The victim, who was 45-years-old, was on his way to work when the fatal accident took place.

New trucking law aims to promote trucker safety

The U.S. Department of Transportation claims that more than 3,000 people die every year as a result of bus or large truck crashes. The leading cause for these accidents is fatigue, accounting for around 13 percent of all fatalities. People interested in reducing the number of trucking accidents here in Bexar County will be interested in a new law was recently enacted that would address truck driver fatigue.

Head-on Collision Kills Five

A head-on car crash that ended with five fatalities is still being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The collision, which occurred near Los Fresnos, appears to have occurred when a Toyota RAV4 being driven by a 32-year-old female driver swerved into oncoming traffic. The Toyota RAV4 then struck a Toyota Corolla that was being driven by a 32-year-old man.
